He has announced that they will be telecasting the news about the official capture of Dairo Antonio Usuga a.k.a. Otoniel on Saturday. He has given a statement on the achievement and said, “This coup is only comparable to the fall of Pablo Escobar in the 90s”. The president has given up another statement, “Otoniel was the most feared drug trafficker in the world, a murderer of policemen, soldiers, social leaders, and a recruiter of minors.” Who exactly was Otoniel? He is a 50 years old drug lord and he was captured during a mission on delivering some drug at the Colombia’s Uraba region, which is located in Antioquia province. The Colombian authorities took over the mission and successfully arrested the drug lord. As per the reports from police officials, they lost one officer during the operation, which saddens the heart of the country.
The cartel operated by Otoniel had major criminals and people who were members of former terrorists groups. This cartel indulges various criminal faces and are acquired to be extremely violent. The cartel is heavily armed as well, that’s why bringing down the leader Otoniel was really important for the government.
