Scout Willis, daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, has opened up to her followers on Instagram about the advancing illness of the actor, who has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. The actress confessed that it is not easy to deal with her father’s health problems.

“I feel emotionally exhausted and a little overwhelmed,” she said. While thanking her for the expressions of affection.

“But also amazed at the love that so many people have for my father,” she wrote.

Her sisters Tallulah Willis and Rumer Willis supported her sentiments by republishing her story on their respective Instagram accounts, supporting each other for the difficult time their daughters are going through.

Diagnosis

On Thursday, February 16, the actor’s family updated Willis’ fans on his health status, stating that after the first diagnosis of dementia, the actor has now gotten a more specific diagnosis, which has brought them something of a relief: he suffers from frontotemporal dementia.

Through statement his wife and daughters stated:

“We wanted to give you an update on our beloved husband, father, and friend as we now have a deeper understanding of what he is experiencing. Since we announced Bruce’s aphasia diagnosis in the spring of 2022, his condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia [known as FTD]. Unfortunately, challenges with communication are only one symptom of the disease Bruce faces. While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis.”

“Currently there are no treatments for the disease, a reality that we hope will change in the coming years. As Bruce’s condition progresses, we hope that media attention can focus on shedding light on this disease that needs much more awareness and research,” the statement said.

“Bruce always believed in using his voice in the world to help others and raise awareness about important issues, both publicly and privately. We know in our hearts that if he could do this today, he would want to respond by bringing global attention and a connection to those who also suffer from this debilitating disease and how it affects so many people and their families.”

“Bruce always found joy in life and helped everyone he met to do the same. That means the world sees that sense of caring resonating with him and with all of us. We were so touched by the love that everyone shared for our dear husband, father, and friend during this difficult time. Your continued compassion, understanding, and respect will enable us to help Bruce live as full a life as possible.”

On Tuesday, December 13, Demi Moore shared a beautiful family photo with her ex-husband Bruce Willis, his wife Emma Heming Willis, and their daughters, all together decorating the Christmas tree. The actress captioned the image saying, “We are family!!! Getting into the Christmas spirit,” she indicated.

And this week “RadarOnline” magazine claimed that Bruce Willis made a change in his will once he received the difficult diagnosis of aphasia, a language disorder that happens due to a brain injury and affects communication. The publication stated that immediately the 67-year-old actor began planning for his loved ones to live without him.

Now some details of the will have leaked out as the German-born actor continues to deal with his declining health.

According to the tabloid, Willis has an estimated fortune of $250 million and he is expected to leave a small percentage of his estate to the daughters he had with Moore, Rumer (34), Scout (31), and Tallulah (28), and the bulk of the fortune will be divided equally between his wife Emma and the two daughters he has with her.

A source for the magazine said that everyone will spend Christmas together to enjoy as much time as possible with him waiting for “a Christmas miracle.”

“He redrafted his will after marrying the British actress and model in 2009. He later modified it when his daughters Mabel (10) and Evelyn (8) were born. The final version was written after he learned of his health,” the insider assures.

“Bruce wanted to ensure that his young family was taken care of,” the source stated.

“He believes that Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah have made the most of what he has to offer financially throughout their lives…Bruce also believes that Demi, who has her own $200 million fortune, will always be there for Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah,” he added.
